This is a record of my first visit to the M6 Pass - Mast Side

22nd April 2008

It was time for another www.lowfly.net outing - this time, north up the M6 to the M6 pass just south of Tebay. I met Mark B at jcn 15 of the M6 at 4:30 and away we went. Once we had all met up for coffee at the Little Chef (jcn 40) we split up - some going to the east side, the others, including myself went to the west side just by the mast. The day started very slowly and there was a lot of mist around for the first 4 hours. This had mostly cleared by just after midday. The photos are NOT in the order taken.

Tornado

As you can see - I messed up the GR4 - I had followed the harrier as it came past, but when I panned back to catch the tornado that was close behind, the lens lost focus - ARGGGGH!

The JP was quite high - that was a shame - it would have been nice lower. The 3rd Harrier caught most of us by suprise as it came around the corner out of nowhere!
