This is a record of my visit to Windermere Airshow

25th July 2009

This has not been an airshow that I would normally consider attending, but the announcement that the Vulcan would be flying changed all that. As there is a decent sized hill overlooking the normal air display area, this seemed like what may be the only chance to get a 'low level' type photo of the Vulcan.
The Vulcan display was only made possible by a very generous donation from Ken Burchill of the Hydro Hotel (MANY thanks for this KEN). I , with many others parked up in Faw Sawrey and walked over to our chosen viewing area about 1-2 miles away. There were already quite a few people there at 10am. It got very full!
